Solid plastic plates and blocks are routinely supplied as “blank stock” to machining centers, where CNC lathes and mills transform them into precision pump and valve parts.
1. Corrosion-Resistant Pump Housings & Volutes
The main bodies of air-operated diaphragm pumps and centrifugal pumps are machined from thick PP and HDPE blocks. These materials resist continuous contact with corrosive process fluids while maintaining structural integrity under pressure. Recommended stock: Polypropylene Homopolymer (PPH) Sheet and HDPE PE100 Sheets.
2. Pump Impellers
The high-speed rotating core that drives chemical liquids. Impellers demand a material with high fatigue strength, dimensional stability, and chemical resistance. Our Polypropylene PP Sheet and Fiber-Reinforced Polypropylene Board (for added rigidity) are excellent choices.
3. Manifold Blocks / Chemical Distribution Valve Blocks
Complex internal flow channels are drilled into thick, solid plastic plates to create manifolds for precise fluid distribution in semiconductor and chemical plants. These require homogeneous, void-free stock. We recommend PPH Sheet and Polyphthalamide (PPA) Sheet for high-performance applications.
4. Valve Bodies & Seats
The corrosion-resistant bodies of diaphragm, ball, and butterfly valves. Valve seats benefit from low-friction, dimensionally stable plastics that ensure a leak-tight seal. Ideal materials include PP Sheet and HDPE Plate.
5. Pipe Flanges & Blind Flanges
Non-metallic fasteners that connect chemical piping systems. Plastic flanges eliminate galvanic corrosion and chemical attack at critical joints. Our HDPE PE100 Sheets and PPR Sheets (Polypropylene Random Copolymer) are widely used for flange machining in pressurized pipe systems.
